Catspad team expanding retail presence across Europe
Catspad, the recipient of the 2017 Innovation Award at CES, has announced plans to expand its presence in online stores across European market, with a view to expand to other markets such as the USA, Canada and Japan in the near future. Since 2018, Catspad has been selling its product online through their own web store and through several marketplace websites such as L’Avant Gardiste, Mon Animal Privé, Piwii.
Julie Leleu, CEO for Catspad, said, “We plan on broadening our online-retailers distribution along with our offline strategy. Our objective is to present our product in physical stores where pet owners and/or tech enthusiasts will be able discover this innovative way of taking care of their pets. Catspad is building a comprehensive development strategy including all channels: from brick-and-mortar to online.”
Catspad is a smart cat feeder and water fountain. During the first stage of its development, the company used crowdfunding to allow pet tech enthusiasts to pre-order its smart cat feeder.
Leleu added, “Up to now, our company has developed and sold a single product, a smart cat feeder and water fountain. We plan to add other devices in order to create a whole “pet tech” realm, around innovation servicing pet health and welfare.”
